FAQ

Questions, answered.

Your landlord uses Rentarina to collect rent and manage your suite. Here's how paying works, and who to ask about what.

Why is there a fee?
When you pay by bank transfer, there's a 1.5% fee, all in. It covers moving your payment securely to your landlord's bank. Your landlord pays for everything else, and the portal itself never costs you anything.ON $1,050 RENT · FEE $16 · TOTAL $1,066
Bank transfer or card — which should I use?
Bank transfer costs the least. Credit cards are accepted where your landlord offers them, and the card's processing cost may be added to your total. Rentarina never adds a fee of its own. You see the full total for each option before you choose.
Will I see the total before I pay?
Yes. Rent, any earlier balance or late fee, and the payment fee are listed line by line with the total before you confirm. The total you see is exactly what's charged.
Can I pay with a debit card?
No. Debit and prepaid cards aren't accepted for rent. Pay by bank transfer instead — it's the lowest-cost option.
How does autopay work?
Rent comes out on the day it's due, from the bank account you choose, or a credit card where your landlord accepts cards. We email you before every payment, and you can turn autopay off anytime.
How long does a bank transfer take?
It takes 2–4 business days to clear. We email your receipt once it does.
Where are my receipts?
Every payment has a receipt under Payments in your portal. Payments your landlord records by hand, like a check or cash, show up there too, with no fee.
Who do I ask about my rent or lease?
Your landlord. Rent amounts, due dates, late fees and lease terms are set by them. Message them from your portal.
